If you’re thinking of booking me but still have a few questions, then you’ve found the right page! These are the most common questions I get asked so hopefully you’ll find the answers below.

Booking & Logistics
How do we secure you for our date?
It’s super easy! The best way to start the booking procedure is to fill in the form on my Contact Page. Tell me everything about your special day – especially the venue location (I adore performing across Essex, Suffolk, and the South East!), the date, and which package has caught your eye. The more detail you give, the faster I can send you a tailored, no – obligation quote! If you’d like to go ahead, I’ll send over a contract and invoice for a booking fee/deposit. Once that’s signed and paid, your date is officially secure and confirmed!
What if we change our minds or need to cancel our booking?
Just like all online purchases, you have a 14–day cooling-off period from the moment you book. If you change your mind during that time, you’ll receive your booking fee back – no worries! After that date, the booking fee is non – refundable, except in truly exceptional circumstances.
How far in advance should we book?
As soon as possible. Popular dates, especially those gorgeous summer Saturdays in Essex and Suffolk, get snapped up quickly. I sometimes get booked up to two years in advance, so the sooner you know I’m the right singer for you, the better chance we have of securing your date. Don’t wait!
How far does you travel?
I am proudly based in Colchester, the heart of Essex, which means I am perfectly placed for weddings and events all over Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Kent, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and London. I’m happy to travel nationwide, but please note that venues outside of a one – hour drive from Colchester may include a slight increase in the quote to cover additional travel time, cost, and any necessary overnight accommodation. The good news? All venues within one hour of Colchester pay zero for extra travel!
What time will you arrive at our venue?
We’ll arrange all the timings beforehand! Generally, if you book me solo, I arrive about an hour before my performance time to set up my beautiful sound system quietly. If you book my fantastic band, we usually arrive two hours before we’re due to play to allow time for the slightly longer set – up and a speedy soundcheck. We coordinate this perfectly with your venue’s schedule!
Performance & Song Choices
Can we choose the songs you sing?
Absolutely, yes! Your day, your songs! I want your performance to be perfect, so I encourage you to let me know which songs and artists you adore – and also any songs you’d prefer to avoid! My extensive song list is always being updated, so check that out, but if you have a special request that’s not listed, just ask! Chances are, I already know it or would be delighted to learn it for you. With years of experience, I know exactly how to craft a set list that will be the ultimate crowd – pleaser and get everyone on the dance floor and singing along!
It’s my responsibility as your musical wedding supplier to sing the songs you love.
How long do you perform for?
My standard packages include 2 x 45 – minute sets with a short 30 – minute break in between. If you’d like a little more singing time, I can adapt your quote for longer sets or an upgrade to three performance sets. Let’s keep that party going!
Will you play music during your breaks?
Yes, of course! I’m happy to provide complimentary background music through my professional PA system during my breaks and slightly before my set begins – it’s all part of the service! I also offer a dedicated DJ Booth upgrade as an additional package if you want to keep the high – energy party atmosphere going strong after my live performance wraps up.
Can we see you perform live before we book?
While I mainly sing at exclusive private bookings like weddings and corporate events across Essex and the South East, I do occasionally perform at public events. Technical Details
Do we need to provide any equipment?
Nope! I am fully self – contained, which means I bring absolutely everything I need! This includes different professional PA systems and speakers, depending on your event size (whether indoors or outside). For evening events, I even have my own beautiful lights to set the mood and light up your dance floor! The only thing I need access to is power with a couple of plug sockets. I have a battery – powered Bose speaker that is perfect for small, intimate outdoor moments like garden parties or wedding drinks receptions where power access is tricky.
How much space will you need?
This is mainly dependent on whether you book me solo or with my fabulous band. As a good rule of thumb, here are the approximate spaces needed:
- Solo/Duo: 2x2m
- 3 – piece: 3x3m
- 4 – piece: 4x3m
- 5/6 – piece: 5x3m
- 7 – piece: 6x4m
I am also happy to communicate with your other wedding suppliers to ensure we are all set up quickly and efficiently
Our venue has a sound limiter. Can we still book you?
Absolutely! As a solo singer, this rarely causes an issue, and I’ll always keep my levels within the venue’s requirements. If you book my band, we are experienced in working with limiters! I’ve performed with a 7 – piece band (with a brass section!) at sound – limited venues without setting it off, so it can definitely be done. This is best discussed with your venue, but if you’re worried, booking me solo or with one of my acoustic packages is always a safe, stress – free choice!
Do you have insurance?
Yes, I have full Public Liability Insurance, and all of my equipment is regularly PAT tested. I can happily send this necessary information straight to your venue if required.
Day of the Event as One of Your Wedding Suppliers.
What will you wear?
I love getting dressed up so I am happy to match the theme of your wedding or event. If it’s a wedding I will always wear a nice dress & if it’s an evening affair then I’ll probably wear some sparkles!
If you are booking me for a particular theme or style then you can expect me to wear an appropriate outfit.
Will we need to provide you with food?
I do ask that you kindly provide me with soft drinks throughout my time with you – singing is thirsty work! While food is always greatly appreciated, it’s generally only an expectation if you book me to perform for your wedding all day. If I’m with you for a full day, I need to keep my energy up to give you the best performance possible! Most venues offer supplier meals so have a quick chat with them and keep all of us Essex wedding suppliers happy and fuelled up!
Can we use your mic for speeches?
Of course! Just let me know in advance! I always bring a separate wireless microphone specifically for speeches and announcements.
